Ms. Chen has been dedicated to providing exceptional legal representation to injured victims since 2003. She has extensive experience in a wide range of areas including products liability matters, construction site accidents, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability matters, and claims arising from environmental pollution.  Ms. Chen prides herself on helping her clients obtain exceptional results through a uniquely friendly, personal style of legal representation. Louisa often assists Dan O'Brien and John Orlando on major matters and handles many cases on her own. She provides truly personalized, accessible legal services for our clients.

Ms. Chen received her B.A. from the University of Toronto in 1996 and her MBA in Healthcare Management from Temple University Fox School of Business and Management in 2000. She received the Healthcare Management Program Director's Award for graduating in the top three of the program. Ms. Chen received her J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2003.  At Temple, Ms. Chen was a member of the distinguished Temple University's National Trial Team and earned the Outstanding Oral Advocate Award at a competition.  Ms. Chen also received Victor A. Jaczun Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy and Outstanding Advocate Award for Trial Advocacy.

Ms. Chen has served as both lead and associate trial counsel in jury trials.  In 2007, Ms. Chen was named as one of the "Minority Attorney On The Verge" by the Legal Intelligencer.  She also serves as an Arbitrator for the Philadelphia Court System.

Ms. Chen is fluent in 2 foreign languages: Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese.  She is committed to  the Chinese Community and regularly volunteers at Holy Redeemer Church in Chinatown tutoring and helping kids, whose parents do not speak English, with schoolwork and homework.  Due to her language skills, Ms. Chen also represents Chinese speaking clients and helps them understand their rights in the legal system.

In addition to volunteering in the Chinese Community, Ms. Chen volunteers her time with the Volunteers for the Indigent Program in Philadelphia and also with the Wills for Heroes Program-a free will drafting program for our area's fire fighters and police officers.

Ms. Chen is married with 2 young boys: a 2 year old toddler and a 7 month old baby.  She is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and is admitted to appear before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
