In this case I represented a 16 year old boy. He is one of the nicest guys you could ever hope to meet. He was catastrophically injured during a school field day event at a parochial school in the Philadelphia suburbs.
He was rendered quadriplegic when he was injured while going through an obstacle course which was set up on school grounds. We sued the school claiming that the obstacle course was dangerous and that the supervision provided by the parochial school faculty was inadequate.
To say that the case was vigorously defended would be the understatement of the century.
This was one of those cases that just became a knock down, drag out battle between the two parties. Both sides of the case genuinely believed in their positions. We were able to obtain a very substantial settlement for this young man just prior to going to trial.
I am happy to say that he was able to go on and go to college. He is doing reasonably well. We are very proud of the work we did for our client and the outcome we were able to obtain for him.
