My brother works as a machine operator and his left arm was crushed when it got drawn into the machine. What can we do about his accident?

I am sorry about your brother's accident.  Your brother may be entitled to compensation as a result of his accident.  If the reason your brother's arm got drawn into the machine was that a nip point didn't have a guard to prevent this type of accident, he may have a case against the manufacturer of the machine. Nip points on a machine must be properly guarded to prevent crush and amputation injuries.

Another situation where the manufacturer may be responsible for your brother's accident is if there were improperly designed jog buttons.

In order to properly evaluate the case, we would need more information regarding the type of machine, how the accident happened, etc.  Most importantly, we would need to inspect the machine for defects that may have led to your brother's unfortunate accident.

Therefore, it is important that you speak to an experienced industrial machinery accident lawyer to properly evaluate your case.  Feel free to call me or my colleagues.  We have helped numerous injured machine operators in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
