My son was hit in the head with a baseball during a baseball game and continued to play the rest of the game. He was wearing a helmet. An hour later, he began vomiting and is now in the hospital. I was told by the coaches that the helmet he wore was defective. Do I have a case against the helmet manufacturer?

A:

Quite possibly; however, without more information, it is difficult to determine.  Based on the limited facts given, you could have a case against the manufacturer or even the coaches for your son's injuries from the sports injury at the baseball game.

If the helmet was defective and should not have been on the market, then you probably have a case against the manufacturer

If the coaches knew that the helmet was defective and still let your son wear the helmet during the game, then the coaches and/or team could be held liable for your son's injuries.

Again, we would need to more information.  If you are thinking of bringing a lawsuit, it is important to speak to qualified Pennsylvania & New Jersey Sports Injury lawyers who will help you explore legal options. 877.944.8396
