We've been asked where a child should keep an EpiPen while he/she is at school. Some schools require kids to give their EpiPens to the school nurse, who then sometimes locks them up or hides them.
If that nurse has to leave the school during the school day or the child has a severe allergic reaction during an after school event, the locked up or hidden EpiPen isn't going to do any good. A better idea is to have the child keep the EpiPen on their person during the school day. During sporting events, they should have the EpiPen in their gym bag right by the field.
