A Woman Sues Grocery Store After A Slip and Fall Accident| PA & NJ Slip & Fall Injury Lawyers

Posted on Sep 12, 2012

Last week, a woman from Pasadena, Texas, sued a local supermarket for injuries she suffered when she slipped and fell while walking through the produce section.  The Complaint alleges that the woman fell due to water from the produce misters which made the floor slippery and slick.

This type of slip and fall accident in supermarkets is not uncommon.  We often help injured individuals who slip and fall in supermarkets.  Water from produce misters is only one of the reasons slip and fall accidents happen.  Other causes include:

  • loose fruit on the floor, such as grapes or blueberries,
  • excess water after mopping the floor, or
  • excess wax after waxing the floor.

All of the above floor conditions can cause a customer to slip and fall and sustain serious injuries. Supermarkets have a duty to protect their customers from dangerous conditions on the floor which can cause slip and fall accidents.

If you were injured in a slip and fall accident in a supermarket or grocery store and would like more information, feel free to contact our Philadelphia, PA slip and fall accident lawyers to discuss your accident.  We also help slip and fall accident victims in New Jersey.
