The Consumer Product Safety Commission just announced a recall of 240,000 Adventure Playsets Wooden Swing Sets. The posts of the fort sections may weaken due to rotting of the interior wood, thus causing a risk of failure and injury. The importer, Adventure Playsets has received more than 500 complaints regarding the weakened wood. In November 2009, 275,000 of these products were recalled due to a similar hazard.
The sets were sold under the following names: Bellevue, Bellevue II, Belmont, Durango, Durango II, Sedona, Tacoma, Tacoma II, Ventura, Venture II and Yukon. The name of the set is printed on the manufacturer's instructions which came with the play set. These swing sets were sold at various stores including Walmart and ToysRUs between 2004 and 2007.
