This past Monday night, a car race on Route 1 in Bensalem resulted in a fatal car crash. One of the cars racing was a Volvo sedan that veered off the road, rolled many times and crashed into a sign. The driver and a passenger were ejected from the car; while another passenger, who was 19 years old, was trapped and died in the car. The car burst into flames before the passenger could be rescued.
The driver of the Volvo was in critical condition as of Tuesday afternoon; while the condition of the other passenger is not known at this time.
