In the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 30, 2013, a tractor trailer flipped over on the New Jersey Turnpike just north of the Burlington/Mount Holly exit. The truck then caught fire and tragically killed the passenger in the truck. The driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to a hospital.
Just last month, there was another deadly accident on the NJ Turnpike involving 2 tractor trailers and 2 cars. In that accident, one of the tractor trailers hit a Camry from behind. As the tractor trailer jackknifed, the Camry was crushed and pushed into another tractor trailer. A Georgia family of 4 was in the Camry, and 3 of them were tragically killed.
Truck and car accidents on major highways often result in serious injuries to the parties involved.
Some of the reasons the car and truck accidents happen are:
• negligence of the drivers,
• brake failure, or
• some defect in the car or truck.
The lives of the injured victims in car and truck accidents are often turned upside down. Paying for medical bills is often the number one concern. Injured victims who are from out of state often do not know what to do or who to call after an accident.
