Johnson & Johnson Investigated After Product Recalls

Posted on Jun 04, 2010

June 1, 2010 - Washington, D.C. - Johnson & Johnson, the manufacturer of such popular over-the-counter medications as Motrin and Tylenol, is currently under investigation for numerous manufacturing and quality-control issues.

The drug manufacturer's public relations and legal problems surfaced earlier this year with the announcement of a massive drug recall involving more than 40 products, including children's medications such as Tylenol, Motrin and Benadryl.

Officials from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are considering criminal charges against the company for its potentially negligent response to addressing various manufacturing defects. In addition, the U.S. Congress is investigating reports that in 2008, Johnson & Johnson tried to cover up the need for a drug recall by sending representatives of the company out to buy up tainted products circulating on the shelves.

If you have been injured because of a recalled drug manufactured or sold by

Johnson & Johnson, it is important to contact a Philadelphia injury lawyer who understands issues of product liability and product recalls. Companies have a responsibility to ensure that the products they manufacture and sell are safe for consumer use.

It can be complicated and sometimes difficult to prove that a manufacturer defect was responsible for your injuries. Your Philadelphia injury lawyer will gather all necessary evidence-including records of past negligence and product recalls-to build a strong case of consumer product liability.

The Philadelphia injury lawyers at White & Williams LLP are well-versed in product liability cases and can talk to you about your injuries and your options for legal recourse. Contact us today - 1-877-944-8396.
