Recently, Whole Foods Market recalled approximately 33,000 pounds of ready to eat food products which may contain peanuts.
The contaminated foods were shipped to stores in at least 12 states, including New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Items such as prepared salads, burritos, dips, seasoned meat (chicken, turkey), tacos and other seasoned items may contain a spice contaminated with peanuts. The contaminated items were sold from January 14, 2015 to February 6, 2015. So far, there have been no reports of consumers suffering allergic reactions to the peanuts in the items, and these items have been pulled from the store shelves.
