Teddy Bear Swimwear Set from Build-a-Bear Recalled Due to Strangulation Hazard

In a report from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Build-a-Bear has recalled the teddy bear swimwear set due to a strangulation hazard. This product is the swimwear set that comes with an inflatable inner tube, which can be pulled over a child’s head posing the risk of injury.

So far Build-a-Bear has received 1 report of a 3-year-old girl who had trouble removing the tube once she pulled it around her head.

The 9 inch inner tube comes with the Fruit Tutu Bikini 3-piece set for teddy bears. It includes a 2-piece bikini with fruit prints. The inner tube is pink, with yellow and white flowers on it.

CPSC advises consumers to immediately stop using the product and return it to any store which houses a Build-a-Bear Workshop. A $5 store coupon will be given. Consumers can also contact the company for information on how to receive their refund.
