Truck Spills Load After Crash on I-95 in Upper Chichester

June 20, 2011 - Upper Chichester, Pa. - WPVI reported that a flatbed truck traveling north on I-95 in Upper Chichester spilled its load all over the highway after it severely crashed.

Fire trucks and an ambulance responded to the scene of the auto accident to direct traffic and attend to accident injuries. The roadway was blocked for several hours with traffic being detoured off of I-95.

Photos show the flatbed truck with severe damage to the passenger cab and items from the bed strewn across the highway, as well as a blue passenger car with heavy damage that seems to have been forced over the railing of the highway and appeared to have spun around more than once.

According to the most recent National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Statistics, in 2009, there were 1,256 total fatal traffic accidents in Pennsylvania.
