Last Friday, there were 2 bus accidents in the region. The first one occurred in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, PA, and the second bus accident occurred in Whitpain Township, PA.
The bus accident in Germantown resulted in 2 people getting injured when a school bus collided with an SUV early Friday morning at around 6:30 am. As a result of the collision, the SUV was forced onto the sidewalk and crashed into a stone wall. The driver and passenger of the SUV were transported to a hospital.
The bus driver was not hurt, and the bus was not carrying any students.
The second accident in Whitpain Township also involved a collision between a bus and another vehicle around 9:00am. The bus was not carrying any children at the time of the accident.
The cause of both accidents are being investigated.
Fortunately, these school buses were not transporting children at the time of the accidents. When parents send their children to school on school buses, they hope that their children arrive safely at school. However, bus accidents do happen, and they probably occur more frequently than parents would like to see.
