Community outreach programs have always been important to the lawyers at White and Williams. In March of this year, White and Williams LLP formally adopted Spring Garden Elementary School as part of the “Adopt A School” program, which started in 2012. The program gives back to the Philadelphia community by helping and supporting Philadelphia schools. See "Adopt A School" Program Kicks-Off Its Second Year At Local Philadelphia Elementary School
As part of the “Adopt A School” program, the lawyers and staff at White and Williams collected school supplies during the month of August and generously donated the supplies to Spring Garden Elementary School in the fall. School supplies included paper, calculators, backpacks, uniforms and other school supplies.
Collecting school supplies is just one of the ways the Philadelphia based law firm, White and Williams, has supported the school. Earlier this year, Spring Garden Elementary School received a $10,000 check from the firm to help build a library and obtain new books. The library had been closed for 10 years due to renovation needs and was in need of books that were published in this century.
The firm also partnered with the school this year by:
The lawyers at White and Williams firmly believe in the importance of giving back to the community. As a member of the Philadelphia business community, the firm seeks to arm local students with the tools they need to succeed and be future leaders in Philadelphia’s business community.
The firm also has other community outreach programs that helped young drivers. Daniel O’Brien, a PA and NJ personal injury lawyer and head of the personal injury practice group, and his team started the Teen Driving Summit Program, which teaches young teen drivers about the dangers of texting while driving. They have spoken at various local high schools; the program was received with great success. See The Teen Driving Summit Program: No Texting While Driving Program
