Young Girl Bitten Multiple Times By A Pit Bull In Philadelphia, PA| PA Dog Bite Injury Lawyer

Posted on Aug 27, 2012

On August 17, 2012, a 9-year-old girl was hospitalized after being attacked by a pit bull at a home in Southwest Philadelphia. The girl suffered multiple bites to her head, neck and back.  The little girl was at the home of her babysitter when she was attacked.

An emergency call was placed, and the officer at the scene stated that the girl was attacked after opening the dog's cage.  The pit bull bit the girl in the face.

Research has shown that most dog attacks and injuries to children occur in the summer and on weekends.

In Pennsylvania dog attack and injury cases, parties other than the owner may be responsible for the victim's injuries, such as:

  • dog seller,
  • dog breeder,
  • dog trainer, or
  • dog owner's landlord.
